About the role
The Senior SAP ABAP Developer is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for leading and delivering complex SAP development projects. With a minimum of 3 years of ABAP experience, this role involves designing, developing, and implementing intricate customizations and enhancements in SAP solutions. As a technical expert, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, understanding project requirements and translating them into technical specifications. Mentoring and guiding junior developers, as well as conducting code reviews, are integral aspects of this role. Furthermore, the ability to step out of your comfort zone and embrace learning about new SAP technologies is essential in this dynamic role. You'll actively engage in problem-solving and innovation, identifying and resolving technical challenges, while also proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance SAP functionality and efficiency.

Work you will do

1. Project Delivery:
You will lead or contribute to the design, development, and implementation of complex SAP solutions, customizations, and enhancements by collaborating with functional consultants and business analysts to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications. You will also provide technical guidance to junior ABAP developers and ensure high-quality code delivery and perform code reviews, debugging, and optimization to ensure efficient and error-free ABAP programs.

2. Problem-Solving & Innovative Solutions:
You will excel in problem-solving, adeptly identifying and resolving complex technical challenges that arise during SAP development. Your role also involves introducing innovative solutions and implementing best practices to elevate SAP functionality and efficiency. Furthermore, you'll be engaged in the ongoing evaluation and optimization of SAP ABAP code, ensuring it consistently delivers optimal performance and reliability. Additionally, you'll stay at the forefront of SAP technology trends, conducting research and assessments to propose improvements and innovative solutions that keep our organization at the cutting edge of SAP development.

3. Collaboration and Client Engagement:
Work closely with stakeholders and clients of all levels, including team members and supervisors, to comprehend their needs and expectations. By actively engaging with clients, you will ensure that the deliverables surpass their expectations.

4. Grow into a Leader
You will play a crucial part in nurturing talent and knowledge within the team. This involves mentoring and coaching junior ABAP developers, generously sharing your wealth of knowledge and expertise with them. extend to acting as a technical leader within the development team, where you will guide fellow team members, encourage collaboration, and help foster an environment of innovation and growth.

5. Participate in Pre-Sales Activities:
Support pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise during solution proposal development and assist Presales Consultant in estimating the effort required for SAP customizations and enhancements. Occasionally, participate in client meetings and discussions to understand their needs and propose SAP ABAP-based solutions.

If you are someone with:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher degree
• A minimum of 3 years of documented expertise in ABAP Development.
• Proficiency in SAP S4/HANA, ABAP OO, SAP ALE and IDOC, SAP OData, SAPUI5, FIORI, and REST.
• Strong command of SQL and adeptness in Object-Oriented programming.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills in both, Thai and English.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with other programming languages, experience in SAP Cloud Platform, knowledge of SAP HANA, and exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
• Nice-to-have: Possessing a SAP Certificate is a beneficial asset.
• Nice-to-have: Willingness to stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, trends, and best practices to enhance the organization's technical capabilities even if it means stepping out of your comfort zone.
